Noduff Aria (pictured with owner, trainer and kennel staff) – Fred – ran his 100th graded race at Monmore just before Christmas 2023 and while he cramped and didn’t win, it was still a remarkable achievement.

A July 2019 whelp, Fred only ever ran at Monmore Green, reaching A3 at his best and recording twelve victories. He has been so prone to cramp we decided to hand him his deserved retirement upon reaching his milestone. His racing career extended far longer than any of his litter siblings and he was still game for a tear-up at the drop even with stiff hind legs!

We will remember Fred as being such a character, not just at the pick up but also away from the track.
