6.8.21. Noduff Aria (pictured) ran his heart out again over the inadequate 480 metre trip at Monmore Green today. Decently away, he was impeded at the first bend and again at the second before he was able to set off in pursuit of the leaders. He gradually chased them down, one by one, but the line came too soon for Fred who could only finish a close third.

Notably, he maintained a lead over the five dog right to the pickup even though that animal is a former S1 winner. One day Fred will get his chance over a graded six bends without us having to resort to putting him in a poor stayers’ maiden elsewhere.
