30.4.21. It was hoped that today would be the day for Fred and that he would finally break his maiden tag in A5 company at Monmore Green. Running from his favoured six box he broke respectably, weathered a bump at the first bend and turned second as they turned down the back straight. He pulled upside the leader as they rounded the third bend but, alas, the wrong dog was in front. Liberty Joy is a solid six bend performer at the track and Fred ran just a little too wide trying to pass him finishing second again in a calculated 29.12.
